Lancaster Lake – (Near Sunland Park)
Edgar Lancaster used his low marshy ground to make a reservoir, which he dredged out with
a mule and a Fresno dredging device. It became a popular recreation spot for picnics, boating
and swimming. The lake was also the site of several films, including scenes from Tarzan.
